Far Cry 2

Can’t get past a few flaws

Wow, well where do I start with this one? I have to say we thought this game had some stellar graphics, so that was the true star of this game. The story line felt kind of lost and unorganized so that takes away from the full potential of this game. You will not get a personal emotional attachment to this game. The game feels like a spitting image of every single game out there now, nothing new. You know what I’m talking about… AK47, Shotgun, standard pistol. It also has a new feature where the gun can jam, which sounds cool in theory but never works out like you would want it to. We couldn’t help but wonder is this a FPS or an RPG. That isn’t a bad thing, but I could never come to a conclusion. The multiplayer is fun but is very weak in the aspect of game play and matchmaking. One cool thing that Far Cry 2 has to offer is the multiplayer map editor. This is fun for a little bit but this gets old after a while because it feels like the map editor should have only been published on PC. Very confusing takes awhile to get use to it. Well overall I would have to say that Far Cry 2 is a good game but doesn’t go to its’ full potential. A 7 is my bottom line rating on this game.
